Welcome to the information page about the reorganization process for Mount Desert Island Regional School System-AOS 91. Here, you will find information about the history of the journey to becoming a regional school system, as well as the work completed by the Reorganization Planning Committee at its monthly meetings.
The current reorganization process began in 2022 and continues with the Reorganization Planning Committee (RPC) meeting monthly to work through the steps outlined by the state to become an RSU.

Community Forums
The Reorganization Planning Committee (RPC) will hold a community forum in each town to review the reorganization plan, hear questions, and collect feedback through small group discussions.
Please plan to attend one of the forums at the locations and times listed below.
All are welcome to join any scheduled meeting, regardless of town affiliation.
Mount Desert: Wednesday, November 19th, 6:00-8:00 PM at the Neighborhood House in Northeast Harbor
